During and after Act 3: Describe Cyrano's mixed feelings when he speaks to Roxane unseen. Why might be be both happy and sad? An idealist is someone who follows his or her beliefs beyond the point of practicality and who acts as if the world were better than it really is. As we all know, Cyrano is not very attractive...especially to women. But, his personality is outstanding. Do you think that he has a chance with Roxane? Do you think that she can look past his appearance, and judge him on his personality? Why or why not?
